Hi All
Just a quick note. There have been many request for instructions. I have the instructions on a Word Document but am not techy enough to know how to post it on this blog. What I can do is a photo tutorial showing the basics of assembling this type of album next week.
Thank you for your patience,

Surprise Swaps

What a fabulous surprise from 2 of the bestest gals! This one is a St. Patrick Day surprise from Frances who gets high marks for creativity! Candy and a magnetic calendar revealed when the package is opened. I absolutely love this Asian Jacket stamp from Kodomo.
Below close-up of the Asian Jacket - unfortunately, the "bling" did not show up in the photo.

My next surprise is from Gail - Gail is humble but I think she really is extremely creative. This "container" was made by using decorative paper crafted into an envelope. Cutting the bottom of the envelope and putting it through the crimper gave it texture. See the Flower Fusion used for this project - how perfect!

Gail's toppers are so cute! I will have to be careful to undo the topper to keep the idea in tack.

Another surprise: take off the top, inside is beautifully packaged tea. The co-ordinating card is also great!

Close-up of card below:

Thank you Gals for my surprise...................you both are creative and inspiring.

Stamp Show News

I went to the San Jose Stamp Show this weekend - especially to see Taj of Honolulu booth. They do not make frequent visits to the mainland so this was a real treat. I must have circled their booth so many times to make sure I hadn't missed anything because who knows when they will be back again. I bought some stamps and got some stencils. I just couldn't resist because the card examples were SO SO cute! I have posted only a few examples below. I can't wait to use the stencils with my Big Shot. Then they will need to be cut and embellished or sponged. You can also see their images on the web: http://www.tajclubhouse.com/ There were the usual "suspects" at the stamp show and my absolute favorite and noteable to mention is Taj! Enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by to share what I had fun doing this weekend.

CD Folder Album - Princess

Are you ready? There are a lot of photos of this album. It is made by using (2) CD Folders. The finished size of this album is 5x5. Shown here is the front and back of the album. The "crown" is using the stamp from Perfect Princess and is appropriately with dazzling diamonds. The "Fairy Tales" stamp is from Once Upon a Time - and is embossed in white. Look out for the little stamp in the back of the "the end" is so cute.

Shown below is a close-up of the crown in dazzling diamonds. Next to it: a close-up of "the end" embossed in white.

When the album is open, the first page will show "once upon a time" banner with sparkling diamonds on each end of the tab. The left side page has white taffeta ribbon and eyelet punched paper. The eyelet punched tags are inserted into an accordion folded solid card stock. The swirl stamp was used from Baroque Motifs on the tags.
The photo below below is the "center" of the book which is using solid CS. To add texture to both sides: textured plate from SU Background 1 was used. The right side has a scallop circle and a scalloped envelope with a place to write that special note to the Princess. The scallop envelope has a small flower from the Trio Scallop Punch. "Princess" was embossed with white.

Here's the last page: it uses striped Designer Paper with larger dot texture (the paper was ran through the textured plates from SU Background 1). The left side has photo corners with scallop edges. The right side has "happily ever after" embossed in white.
Below is a close-up of the right side. There is a "top view" of the album.
