3 Drawer Candy Box

Here's Project #9: 3 Drawer Candy Box.......Cute? So why call it 3 drawer? Inside has the drawers from the SU Exclusive matchbox die. That is what makes this project really quick to assemble for a last minute gift. Imagine what those 3 drawers can be filled with when it is not Christmas: paper clips, binder clips, rubber bands for the teachers? Hmmm...........I'll put that on the 'to do" list. Finished project size: 6-1/2" x 3-1/4" X 1".

Treats inside:

Front message:
How to Make this project:
(1) Chocolate Chip CS 6-1/2” x 7-7/8”, on the 7-7/8” side score @3-1/2”, turn paper and score 3-1/2” ( one side in the photo is shown scalloped)
(1) 2-1/2” x 6” Snowflake DSP for box top
(1) 2-3/4” x 6-1/4” Real Red CS for box top
Inside:
(3) Big Shot Die Cut Bottoms of Matchbox die in Real Red CS
((2) 5-1/2” Real Red 5/8” wide Grosgrain Ribbon

This is what you should have for this project:
Use the scallop edge punch for both top and bottom cover:

Assemble the drawers. Apply sticky tape in between the drawers:

Apply sticky tape along both lengths of the drawers:

Place one of the ribbons between the middle drawer and the back cover as shown:

Locate the center of the top cover (scallop edge side), using the horizontal slot punch, punch about 3/8" in towards the fold lines. Note: this slot will be covered later.

Place sticky tape on top of the cover:

Remove the adhesive back from the sticky tape, place the ribbon on top, thread through horizontal slot:

After putting the ribbon on, the box front should look like this:

Adhere the Jumbo Punched Snowflakes using mini glue dots to the front panel.

Adhere Scallop "Merry Christmas" stamped message to the real red CS, turn over, add dimensionals. Then place centered on the front panel:

Turn front panel over. Place dimensionals on the front panel. Remove adhesive back and center onto the Chocolate Chip cover. Your project is now complete.
Supplies:
  • Stamps: Yuletide Christmas
  • CS: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Whisper White, Christmas Cocoa DSP
  • Ink: Chocolate Chip
  • Accys: SU Exclusive Matchbox Die, Scallop Edge Punch, Jumbo Snowflake Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Horizontal Slot Punch, 5/8” Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Sticky tape.

Oh now that is just TOO cute - what a great idea!

Can you see me digging to find where my matchbox die is? It's big, so I know I will eventually find it in this mess...

You are just too outstanding with what you show us. I am going to have to get that matchbox die. I have been saying that for a while now. Thanks for the project and inspiration.

Thanks so much for great ideas - and the tutorials for those of us who can't figure out how to do it or are too impatient to try and figure out measurements. Best wishes for a Merry Christmas!
